Do you do team projects at school I do a lot. I enjoy team projects because I like sharing ideas with other people. Of course, team activities aren’t always easy. You need to know how to work well together. Here are some suggestions to make team work easier.
·Know the goals Make sure everyone understands the goal of the project. If you’re doing a class project, you need to check the teacher’s instructions carefully and ask questions whenever something isn’t clear. There’s a popular saying: If you don’t know where you’re going, you probably won’t get there.
·Assign(指派)roles Everyone should have a role in the team. For example, there should be a leader who helps everyone make decisions. There might be a note-taker who writes down the team’s ideas during meetings, and a time-keeper to control the time. There might also be a fact-checker or a group speaker.
·Divide the work For large projects, the work can be divided into smaller tasks. Then you can choose tasks that you do well or enjoy. Of course, you shouldn’t always do the same task. It’s good to try new things, even if they’re difficult!
·Make a plan After you divide the work, write down a plan on paper. You can use a calendar to help you. List all the tasks and think about when each one must be finished. It’s important for everyone to follow the plan. And if you can’t finish your part on time, tell the others as soon as possible.
Try to be positive. Everything is easier when you’re enjoying yourself in the team.

The conflict(冲突)between Russia and Ukraine itself may be a questionable topic, yet it is the people who suffer the most. More than 4 million Ukrainians had fled from their homeland one month after it began. It was the biggest migration(移民)wave since World War Ⅱ.
I wanted to help by being a volunteer. However, it was difficult because I don’t speak Russian or Ukrainian. Luckily, after searching on the internet, I was finally able to sign up to volunteer in a modern gallery called Svetova.
The gallery is owned by an overseas Chinese in Prague, Czech Republic, and had over 40 volunteers to provide help for the Ukrainian refugees(难民). During a two-week intensive(集中的)aid program, the gallery provided a place to live and food for up to five people for free and also served as a safe and interesting space for children, where English classes, games and other fun activities were organized.
Because of my busy school and work timetable, I was only able to volunteer there twice. But, besides the owner and his family, I was the first Chinese volunteer. My role was to help the refugees fill out registration(登记)papers. Sometimes, it was difficult with the language barrier, but there were translators to help.
I was so impressed by one Ukrainian mother and her two kids, who still had such kind smiles and bright eyes, though they must have experienced all the awful things. Some other people may not be able to easily understand their feelings, but I really valued this chance to be with those people in need, doing what I could. Because we are all humans, we should come together in difficult times.

Some high school students think it useless to receive higher education. Therefore, they choose not to go to college. If you're one of them, think again. Here are some reasons why you should go to college and receive a good education there.
Schools and universities are the first places to get knowledge. We take that knowledge later on to build our careers after graduation. More knowledge will be gained after you start working, but without education, that job will not be within easy reach. Knowledge leads to knowledge.
While limited within the walls of the educational places, we openly explore other cultures of the world! We come to know that ours is not the only culture. Other cultures have valuable things to share, enriching our own. Education also makes us want to travel and exchange with various cultures, getting more experience.
When there's a recession in the economy(经济), those who attended college will be more likely to find a new job than those who only finished high school and have a limited skills set. The more education you have, the more chances you will get to improve the quality of your life as you have a better job and earn a higher salary.
When you're skillful and knowledgeable, you gain access to people of similar backgrounds and tastes. It means a good education leads to excellent networking. Good networking can benefit you a lot in your later life.
A good education makes you a more interesting person. You can talk about ideas and events instead of just other people and what's on sale in stores. An educated person doesn't gossip(说闲话), having a preference to discuss ideas and listen to what other people have to say.
29.What can we learn about college education from Paragraph 2
A.It offers you a chance to study abroad.
B.It can allow you to gain more knowledge.
C.It can improve the quality of your daily life.
D.It encourages you to travel around the world.
30.What does the underlined word "recession" in Paragraph 4 probably mean
A.change. B.drop. C.growth. D.support.
31.How can one benefit from a good education
A.You can gossip about others’ affairs.
B.You are likely to study well at school.
C.You can work well with your coworkers.
D.You get to know excellent people with similar interests.
32.What is the main idea of the passage

The Meredith family lived in a small community. As the economy was in decline, some people in the town had lost their jobs. Many of their families were struggling to make ends meet. People were trying to help each other meet the challenges.
Mrs. Meredith was a most kind and thoughtful woman. She spent a great deal of time visiting the poor. She knew they had problems, and they needed all kinds of help. When she had time, she would bring food and medicine to them.
One morning she told her children about a family she had visited the day before. There was a man sick in bed, his wife, who took care of him and could not go out to work, and their little boy. The little boy — his name was Bernard — had interested her very much.
“I wish you could see him,” she said to her own children, John, Harry, and Clara. “He is such a help to his mother. He wants very much to earn some money, but I don’t see what he can do.”
After their mother left the room, the children sat thinking about Bernard. “I wish we could help him to earn money,” said Clara. “His family is suffering so much.” “So do I,” said Harry. “We really should do something to help them.”
For some moments, John said nothing, but, suddenly, he sprang to his feet and cried, “I have a great idea! I have a solution that we can all help accomplish(完成).”
The other children also jumped up all attention. When John had an idea, it was sure to be a good one. “I’ll tell you what we can do,” said John. “You know that big box of corn Uncle John sent us Well, we can make popcorn(爆米花), and put it into paper bags, and Bernard can take it around to the houses and sell it.”

When Mrs. Meredith heard of John’s idea, she thought it was a good one, too. She borrowed an old popcorn machine for the children. After that, they paid a visit to Bernard and told him the plan. With the box of corn in his hands, the poor child looked overjoyed at his parents’ faces. Their expression had changed from one of sorrow to one of joy. He tried to make popcorn by the machine with the help of the three children. When he succeeded in making popcorn at last, they all laughed so much and imagined money waving at them.
With everything ready, Bernard started out on his new business. He went from house to house, selling his popcorn packed in paper bags. Although his neighbors were not rich, they still opened their wallets, hoping to help the boy out of a difficult situation. With the help of those kind neighbors, Bernard soon sold out his popcorn. When he returned home, the Merediths were waiting for him. He found it hard to express his thanks in words. With tears in his eyes, he wanted to give them some money back. John said they had already got the best reward — being helpful to others.
