Pisces is the twelfth star sign. There is a legend about its name.
Long, long ago, there was a war between gods and a bad monster (怪物). It lasted ten years. One day, the gods were surprised to find that the monster was coming towards them. The goat god Pan shouted a warning and tried to change himself into a fish. One god, Aphrodite, took her little boy Eros and tried to hide among the bushes near Euphrates River. She was the god of love and her son was the god of war. It is said that two fish swam to carry Aphrodite and her child to safety. Some people also believe that Aphrodite and Eros changed into fish themselves and swam away to safety. Later the fish represent Aphrodite and her son Eros.
As they appeared in the sky, the two fish were tied together by a rope. Some said that Aphrodite tied the little boy to her body so that he would not get lost as they swam away to safety. That’s the story about Pisces.
In Western countries, some people believe people will share similar characteristics if they have the same star sign. So if you’re born between February 19th and March 20th, your star sign is Pisces. It means that you are generous, easy-going and creative.

As usual, Amber was hurrying to catch the yellow school bus. Luckily the traffic lights turned green as she was to cross the road, so she made it. When the bus passed the golden arches(拱形门) of McDonald’s, they reminded her of a hamburger. She hadn’t had breakfast that morning because the fruit salad on the blue dish didn’t look delicious at all. However, Amber remembered that she was still on a diet. So now she was really in a black mood.
You may have noticed that several colors were used in the above story so as to help describe Amber’s morning. In fact, colors influence your life more than you can ever imagine. Take language for example:You may describe a sick person as being “a bit green”. To describe a depressed(沮丧的)person, you say that the person is “feeling blue”. In short, colors do add interest to daily conversations.
Besides, colors can be used in many parts of your daily life. Have you ever thought about why many school buses and taxis are painted yellow, and stop signs red Since yellow is the most eye-catching color, it can catch people’s attention, especially in heavy traffic. As for red, it is the color which usually shows warning, as a result, some traffic signs use this color. For the same reason, hot-water taps are usually marked red.
The colors of a dining environment possibly decide how much you eat. Most fast-food restaurants are often decorated in bright colors such as red, yellow, orange, and white for the purpose of increasing people’s appetites(胃口).This is because bright colors are natural colors found in many foods, and, therefore, able to raise people’s spirits. Blue, in comparison with bright colors, is said to lower people’s appetites because few foods are blue in nature. For those who are on a diet, blue dishes and bowls might help!
“Morning, Amber! What happened You look a bit green,” said Violet, Amber’s best friend.
“Nothing … just feeling … blue,” said Amber.
“Hey! Come to my place tonight. Do you know what I just bought A Wii! It’s red-hot.”

He was the only gray cub (狼崽) of the she-wolf. The other cubs had red in their hair. He was gray like his father. He was the strongest cub. He showed more anger than his brothers and sisters. He made more noises.
He was a carnivorous animal. He came of a breed of(出身于)meat-killers and meat-eaters. His father and mother lived wholly upon meat. In his first months of life, he lived on mother’s milk, which was transformed directly from meat. And now, at a month old, when his eyes had been open for but a week, he was beginning himself to eat meat.
There came a time when there was no meat. For many days the cubs did not eat. They were too weak and tired to play. One-Eye, the cub’s father, was killed in the fight over food. Even the she-wolf left the cave to find meat, but there was nothing. One by one, the cubs died. Only the she-wolf and the gray cub were left.
One day, the gray cub ran out of the cave to hunt for his own food. He met a weasel (黄鼠狼) of his size. The rat-like animal ran at him and bit his throat. He was nearly dead when the she-wolf arrived just in time to kill and eat it.
The gray cub was not good at hunting yet, and still needed food from his mother. One day, the she-wolf brought him a lynx (猞猁) kitten. While eating, he heard great noise. The kitten’s mother had followed the she-wolf here. The she-wolf and the she-lynx started to fight, and they would fight to the death. The bite was enough to give the she-wolf the chance she needed. The lynx was dead, but the she-wolf was badly hurt. For a week, she did not move. The gray cub had to find food for both of them.
Without his mother to take care of him, he learnt what life was about. Without meat there was no life. Animals had to eat other animals to survive. The law was: EAT OR BE EATEN.

Or you’ll be nervous or even get ill. For example, you like blue and hate red. If you stay in a room with red windows, wallpaper, tables and chairs for two hours, you’ll feel you have been there for four hours. 60. And, if a person walks out of a blue room and into a red room, his body temperature will rise. That means our body temperature will change with different colors.
