According to Greek mythology, Zeus had many human girlfriends. One of them was Callisto. Zeus used to visit her regularly, and this angered his wife Hera.
One day, Zeus was walking through the woods with Callisto. Suddenly, he saw Hera coming. Not knowing how to hide Callisto, he turned her into a giant bear.
When Hera arrived, she saw Zeus walking by himself in the forest. But Hera knew her husband well. She didn’t believe he was there alone. She ordered that they return together to their home on Mt. Olympus. Zeus didn’t want to go because he knew he had to bring Callisto back to human form before returning to Mt. Olympus. But since Hera insisted, he had to leave immediately.
Zeus left Callisto living on as a bear. That same day, Arcas, the son of Zeus and Callisto, was hunting in the woods. He saw the big bear and shot at it. It was a successful attack. But before Arcas ’ surprised eyes, the dying animal started changing back into Callisto. Arcas saw his mother with an arrow (箭) in her heart and started crying loudly for what he had done.
Arcas realized that it was a trick played by Zeus. He became even angrier and started crying louder. Zeus heard him and understood that Hera could hear the man as well. He quietly returned to Earth and asked Arcas to hide the secret. Zeus changed Callisto back into a bear and made her one of the largest constellations in the sky. It’s known as the Great Bear. Repair or Replace (你会如何处理家用电器)
A much-used home appliance suddenly stops working. You look at it 66 :Should I repair it or replace(替换) it
4
It’s a hard question that almost every family has faced. There are so many things to consider, from the cost to the effects. But you may not have much time to make a decision—just imagine living without a(n) 67 on a hot summer’s day.
In a recent 68 , more than 95 percent of the 11,350 participants( 参 与者) chose to repair a broken appliance. Only three percent chose to replace the appliance. Which decision was the smarter
From my point of view, one great way of looking at the problem is to work out the current(当 前的) value of your appliance. When you 69 a new home appliance, write down its cost and the number of years you expect it to last. Divide the cost by the number of years. This will tell you how much value the appliance 70 each year. When the appliance breaks down, you can quickly work out its current value. If a repair costs more than the appliance’s current value, you should replace the appliance. Otherwise, you may consider having it repaired.
According to the theory, if a washing machine breaks down when it is eight years old, you should replace it. For fridges and ovens, that number is nine.

Keep Shanghai Shining like a Pearl(如何让上海成为东方明珠)
I love Shanghai. I think I fell in love with the city even b 72 I came here. That was many years ago, but my love for Shanghai has grown not less but more, the city has n 74 stopped improving, and it is now ranked(按名次排列)among the ten best cities in the world. And the Shanghai government hopes to make it best city in the world by 2035. But w 75 makes a city the "best"
First of all, it has to have a good economy, it also has to be a healthy place with a good e 76 . And the third, it has to be a place where people can relax and have fun. Most of all, a great city has to have great people.
Shanghai has always been known for its openness and friendliness, I have felt this warmth from

the first day I arrived, I was so easy to meet people and communicate with them, even though I couldn't speak Chinese.
Shanghai is great and will continue to be great, but some of that greatness depends on you, you will have to carry on the city's t 77 of openness and friendliness, and your love and energy will be needed to keep Shanghai shining like a pearl.

Living Like Franklin(像本杰明 · 富兰克林那样安排作息帮助我成为了一个更高效的人)
Benjamin Franklin, a writer, printer, politician, scientist and inventor, certainly knew how to get things done quickly. I recently learned about his daily schedule. And in an effort to be more productive, I have tried to follow it.
I started by getting up at 5 every morning. However, I always found myself tired during the day. After six days, I decided to rise at 6 a.m. and spend two hours — one hour less than Franklin — planning my day. Franklin’s day didn’t seem to include any exercise. I’m used to exercising in the morning, so I added “workout” to those two hours. At 8 a.m., I sit down to work.
Working continuously for four hours was a challenge. I realized that I was less able to fully focus on my work after 10 a.m. Slowly, I found a fix by dealing with harder tasks, like writing, in the first half of these four hours. I use the remaining two hours for easier tasks like researching.
Taking a two-hour break at noon to eat and read seemed wasteful to me. I rarely spent more than 30 minutes eating lunch. During the first week, I kept watching the clock to find out when I could return to work. Finally, I decided not to eat and read at my desk. Now, I’m used to taking a longer lunch break, and I’ve seen the benefits.
At 2 p.m., I start working non-stop for another four hours. Again, the order in which I complete my tasks is based on my energy level. At 6 p.m., I force myself to call it a day. I spend the rest of the day having supper and relaxing. I go to bed at 10 p.m.
Every morning, Franklin would ask himself, “What good shall I do today ” And he would end the day by asking himself, “ ” At first, I thought this was silly. But answering those two questions daily has helped me to make the most of my day.
I’ve learned a lot by following Franklin’s schedule. I think I’m using my time more wisely now.
