Luo Han, a 9-year-old boy, exercises for at least two hours every day. His habit of exercising is due to his father Luo Ge, who actively encourages him to enjoy nature, rather than caring only about his learning. And this has raised lots of discussion online.
Many agree with the father! “Many of us students have too much schoolwork, and exercise can make us relaxed, so outdoor activities are necessary,” said Liu Yu, 18, a college student. Wang Tao, a parent of a 16-year-old boy, thinks so as well. “It’s more than a way to relax. It’s also the training in willpower (意志力),” she says.
But some also have worries. “Two hours isn’t too much for a 9-year-old child, but it might be difficult for high school students. With so much schoolwork in high school, we don’t have so much time to exercise at all,”says Huang Xi, from Liyang High School of Jiangsu Province.
Ms Zhu, who has a daughter in middle school, also thinks that two hours is too much for the students and parents. “I need to do housework after work. After my daughter finishes her homework, she wants to watch TV. Neither of us would think of going outside for exercise,” Zhu says.

I experienced a bus accident yesterday.
I was going to visit my aunt in Agra. The bus left Shekohabad and reached near a bridge. The road rose very high at the bridge from both sides. At the same time, a car was coming from the opposite direction (反方向). The bus driver tried to put on the brakes (刹车) but there was no time. So he gave a sudden turn. The road was not very broad (宽的) at the bridge. The result was that the driver couldn’t control the bus. It slipped down from the road and fell into the river below. Every one of us gave a loud cry.
There were fifty passengers in the bus—forty men, six women and four children. Four of the passengers died then. Seven were hurt. Luckily, I escaped without much hurt.
The car stopped. Inside the car was an officer. He was very sorry for the poor passengers. He took the injured (受伤的) passengers in his car and took them to the hospital quickly. Two of them died soon after.

You may know about “junk food” like French fries. But do you know about “junk sleep”?
A British survey shows that there are many electronic products(产品)in teenagers’ bedrooms. They are influencing teenagers’ sleep badly.
The survey was done among(在……中)1,000 British kids from 12 to 16. It is found that 50% of them got just 4 to 7 hours’ sleep every day. But doctors say they need 8 to 9 hours.
Almost 25% of the kids said they often fell asleep while they were watching TV, listening to music or using other electronic products.
“This is very worrying,” said Dr. Chris, a British professor (教授). “We call it ‘junk sleep’. It means you don’t get enough sleep and the quality (质量) of the sleep is low, too.” The survey found that quite a few kids felt tired each day because of the junk sleep, especially girls between 13 and 16. Nearly all the teenagers have a phone, music player or TV in their bedrooms. And lots of them even have all the three.
Dr. Chris suggested(建议)that parents should help their children keep away from electronic products, and that teenagers should spend less time on electronic products.
