写作一:
]Dear classmates,
It is my great honor to stand here today to share my ways to learn English. Reading, listening and speaking, and writing are the basic requirements of mastering English well.
As far as I am concerned, I spend half an hour reading every morning, through which I not only build up my language sense but also expand my vocabulary. What's more, I actively join the school English club, where my listening and speaking skills improve. In the evening, I always write down the English sentence patterns and key words I met this day. Gradually, my writing level goes up.
I hope my English-learning ways are helpful to you. Thank you for your attention!
写作二:
But the fourth student, whose name was David, stopped. He bent down and very gently took the little ones up in his warm hands. "Never mind,my little fellows," said David. "I will put you in your own cozy little bed." Then he looked up to find the nest from which they had fallen.【高分句型 -] It was high, much higher than he could reach. But David could climb. He had climbed many a tree when he was a boy.He put the birds softly, one by one, into their warm little home.At this time, the first three students had already reached school.(第四个学生把两个小鸟救起的过程)
All were surprised to find that David was not with them when the roll call(点名) was made.Just when the teacher was to be angry,Hardin explained,"We met two fallen birds on our way to school.【高分句型二]Very likely David has stopped to take care of them." In a few minutes,David appeared at the door of the classroom out of breath. His shoes were covered with mud, and he had torn his coat on the thorny tree. Just as he was about to accept the teacher's criticism,to his surprise, all the students sang the song Hero with the"Tweet!Tweet! " and "Cheep!Cheep!" sound from the birds outside the classroom.(大卫迟到了没有受到批评,却受到赞扬的过程)

I was interested in their way of life and the deep connection they have with the natural world. As I stepped on the forest floor, I was immediately shocked by the bright colors and sounds of the rainforest. Then I was greeted by the local people warmly and they offered to take me on a tour of their village. I walked, passing by towering trees and colorful birds. And they showed me how they hunted, fished and searched for food in the forest. They also took me to pick some plants and told me how they used them for different problems and sicknesses. I also learned about their traditional dances and music, which were an important part of their culture. Above all, I joined a hunt, where I saw their skills and how they were able to survive in such a tough environment. So I returned home with respect and admiration for the local people and their way of life.

It was early winter several years ago. I had pulled out my old winter coat for another year’s use. It was still in pretty good shape although it was looking dirty from so many winters’ wear. I didn’t really need a new one but I wanted one and casually mentioned it to my daughter one day. She was such a sweet , loving girl that I should have guessed what would happen next. A few weeks later she gave me a new winter coat as a gift.
I put the old one in my closet and started to wear the new coat everyday. Each day, though , when I opened my closet, something troubled me. It seemed a shame that my old but still good coat should just sit there keeping no one warm during the cold winter days. After a few weeks, I took it out and drove to a local charity shop. I knew that there was someone who couldn’t afford a coat but could get my old one.
My new coat is my old coat now. It is getting a little dirty and worn , too. It has black marks on the sleeves. It is in too bad shape to even donate to charity. I wonder if I should buy a new one soon , but I think I will wait for a while. I don’t really need a new one and maybe I can find something else to give to the charity shop instead. Ralph waldo Emerson once said ,“ Want is a growing giant whom the coat of Have was never large enough to cover.” Perhaps the best way to deal with our wants then is to give instead. Love, after all, brings us the most joy. And the more of it you give away, the more of it you have.

A. Wealthy. B. Thoughtful. C. Easy-going. D. Humorous.
25. Why was the author in shame when seeing his old coat in the closet?
A. It cost too much.
B. It was looking dirty.
C. There was not enough room for his new coat.
D. It was not sent to someone in need.
26. What is the author ’s decision after his second coat becomes old?
A. Telling his daughter. B. Buying a new one soon.
C. Donating it to charity. D. sending something else to charity.
27. What does the author want to show in the last paragraph?
A. Giving fills our wants.
B. Love is the key to joy.
C. The more you give, the more you lose.
D. A coat is large enough to cover our want

Therefore, speed is not everything, and creativity plays the most important petitors often design their vehicles based on themes from pop culture or history. Of course, the competitors dress up to play the role, too.
Cheese rolling race is not seen very often, but it is exciting. This is a game that is extremely funny for audience, but painful for competitors. During the game, competitors race down a very steep(陡峭的)hill , chasing after around of Double Gloucester cheese that can weigh up to nine pounds and can travel some 70 miles per hour. Whoever gets to the bottom first wins the cheese.

There are two kinds of people: those who like to pack up leftovers as soon as dinner is over, and those who let leftovers sit out for a few hours so they can cool down.
However, both leaving leftovers out for a long period of time and adding hot items to the fridge can cause problems.
Whether you should immediately put food in the fridge or let it sit out to cool depends on its temperature. Dangerous bacterial(细菌的)growth happens between 41 and 135 degrees F potentially harmful bacteria grows most rapidly at these temperatures.
Placing lots of hot food in the fridge can raise the temperature of the fridge into this danger zone. Fridge temperatures should always be set below 40 degrees F. This may help the food get out of the danger zone as soon as possible.
However, there’s no harm in putting hot food directly into the fridge if you need to. If you are a forgetful person, or if you won’ t be around to store the food after it has cooled enough, go ahead and put it in the fridge.Your fridge can handle the heat and get the food cooled quickly.
Food should never stay out at room temperature for more than two hours. Leftovers can become breeding dangerous bacteria if they’re left out too long and can make people sick.
“It is OK to leave the food cooling outside before you hit the two-hour mark ,” says Serena Poon, nutritionist of Le Cordon Bleus’ Grand Diploma training program.“ In fact, the sooner you can get your leftovers in the fridge, the better. ”
32. Which temperature most contributes to the growth of harmful bacteria?
A. Below 40 degrees F B. Between39~ 40degreesF
C. Between41~ 135degreesF D. Above 135 degrees F
33. What is the author ’s attitude towards putting hot food directly into the fridge?
A. unclear. B. neutral. C. worried. D. unconcerned.
34. What does Serena Poon suggest doing about the leftovers?
A. Dividing them into small parts.
B. Storing them in the fridge right away.
C. Waiting until they cool down completely outside.
D. Leaving them sitting at room temperature for two hours.
35. What is the best title for the text?
A.When to pack up Leftovers B. A Good Idea to store Food in the Fridge
C. To Cool Food outside or in the Fridge D. How to prevent Bacterial Growth

One morning in spring four students were walking to school.
There had been a rain , and the ground was very soft. Water was dropping from the trees , and the grass was wet.
The four students walked along , one behind another , because the pathway was narrow and the mud(泥)on either side of it was deep. They walked , talked and laughed.
As they were passing through some small trees , they heard a great fluttering(拍翅膀)over their heads and a weak chirping(鸣叫)in the grass by the roadside.
“ Tweet! Tweet! Tweet!”came from the leafy branches above them.
“ Cheep! Cheep! Cheep!”came from the wet grass.
“ What is the matter here?”asked the first student , whose name was Speed. “ Oh , there are two young birds. Maybe the storm has blown two of the little ones out of the nest. They are too young to fly , ”said the second student , whose name was Hardin.
“What a pity! They’ ll die down there in the grass , ”said the third student Martin.
“ Oh , well! We still need to hurry to school. We’ re going to be late , ”said Speed.“ Why should we bother?”
After Speed’ s words , the first three students walked on , talking and laughing as before.
